Sandra and Ryan's Outdoor Wedding at Port Coquitlam

Blue skies and warm sunshine, what more can you ask for?  I met Sandra and Ryan through our friend Kerry, who introduced me to this lovely couple and their plan to marry outdoors behind their beautiful Port Coquitlam home.  Thankfully the weather was gorgeous, a perfect backdrop to a wonderful and intimate Wedding.  We then moved to Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver for some group photos before dinner at the Seasons in the Park restaurant at the top of the park.  Here are some of my favorites from the day!

Chloe and Yuan's Epic New York City Engagement Photoshoot

I love doing Engagement photoshoots.  Its a great way for me to connect with my clients and work with them in a relaxed environment before the hectic nature of the big day.  Shortly after I scheduled Chloe and Yuan's Engagement photoshoot, I was secretly approached by Yuan, who wanted to surprise his bride-to-be with an amazing experience to photograph their Engagement session in The City That Never Sleeps.  I was thrilled with the opportunity and after a few email exchanges, we had the schedule set.  Yuan would surprise Chloe on their departure day, hop on a red-eye flight from YVR to JFK and meet me the following morning at Chelsea Market, an indoor marketplace filled with shops and eateries.  We started our Engagement session there, eventually moving on to the High Line, an elevated park that runs on a disused railway line above the streets of Manhattan.  After a quick visit to Central Park, we waited till nightfall and headed to the DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) neighborhood in Brooklyn for some city nightscapes, before making our way back into Manhattan to finish off at the bustling Times Square and Grand Central Terminal.  It was an absolutely amazing experience to shoot in New York City and I cannot wait to shoot Chloe and Yuan's Wedding in the coming months!

Marie & Joel's Wedding at the UBC Boathouse

Emotion.  Its why I shoot Weddings.  Capturing the roller coaster of emotions during a Wedding day is what drives me to do what I do.  Marie and Joel's Wedding at the UBC Boathouse was certainly filled with emotions, accompanied by some awesome music, hilarious speeches and a very lively Wedding Party.  The day started with a beautiful ceremony inside the facility, followed by a very windy (and quick!) photo session along the trails overlooking the Fraser River.  The Reception started with a bang as the Wedding Party entered the Hall accompanied by high fives and shots, and continued on through the night with hilarious speeches and even some impromptu singing by the groomsmen!  Here are some of my favorites from the day.

Andrea & Greg's Wedding on the Celebration on Water in Lonsdale Quay

What do a fierce windstorm, torrential rain and power outages have in common?  They all decided to happen on the day Andrea and Greg planned to tie the knot.  Thankfully, no amount of bad weather (or elevator mishaps) could keep these two from walking down the aisle and celebrate with their family and friends.  The venue was at the Celebration on Water at Lonsdale Quay, a renovated BC Ferries ship anchored off the shoreline at Mosquito Creek Marina.  Mix in a fun Bridal party and lively speeches with some unpredictable Vancouver weather, we ended up with an awesome Wedding I won’t soon forget.

Grace & Stanley's North Vancouver Wedding

I only met Grace & Stanley weeks before their mid-August Wedding date but I instantly felt a connection with them.  In fact, their Engagement photo shoot was only a mere 6 days before their Wedding.  The day of the Wedding was loads of fun, with emotion and laughter mixed in with some awesome speeches from friends and family.  The food was some of the best I've tasted (did I mention Grace & Stanley are both chefs??)  The day was made possible by their spontaneous and driven attitude, and that's something I hope they Don't Change.
